Venue software that runs on site: customer and revenue data never leave the venue
Published

Fear of leaking customer lists and revenue is the most common reason owners turn down venue software. The on-site edition answers it by not sending the data anywhere.
When presenting software to venue owners, the most common objection is not price or features. It is the worry about leaking the list of regulars and the revenue. An answer like "we have good security" is not enough, because the owner cannot check it.
Sol26 SportTech answers differently: with the on-site edition, the data does not go anywhere.
Two deployments, one software
The Sol26 SportTech venue software can be deployed two ways:
- Cloud: runs on the platform's infrastructure, usable the day you sign, no hardware to buy
- On site: the whole system and its data sit on one machine at the venue
Both are the same software, with the booking grid, monthly passes, counter, stock, shift close, cash book and reports. The only difference is where the data lives.
What stays on the venue's machine
With the on-site edition, no booking, customer name, phone number or revenue figure leaves that machine. The owner knows exactly where their data is: on the computer they can see at the counter.
No internet is needed for daily operation, only for installation and updates. For venues with a weak connection this is an advantage too: the counter keeps taking bookings, selling and closing shifts when the network drops.
Still taking app bookings
Running on site does not mean staying out of the player app. The venue still receives app bookings by sharing exactly two things: the price list and open or busy hours.
Those two pieces of information are what anyone calling the venue could ask. The venue shares nothing more than a phone enquiry would reveal, and gets bookings from players looking for a pitch nearby.
Three venue tiers on the map
Every venue on the platform map sits in one of three tiers:
- Listed: the venue shares nothing, appears in search, and players can only call
- Synced: the venue shares prices and open or busy hours, and players can book in the app
- Cloud: the venue runs on the platform's infrastructure with full features in the app
The on-site edition belongs to the Synced tier. It works like a restaurant on a food delivery app: the ones that keep their menu and opening hours up to date get orders, and nobody forces them.
When to choose on site
The on-site edition suits venues wary of exposing customers and revenue, or venues with an unreliable connection. Venues that want to start fast without worrying about hardware choose Cloud. Both work the same way, so staff learn once and can use either.
