Injuries happen mid-game, when nobody has time to search. The Medical and SOS module puts the nearest facility, first aid guides and a 115 button in the same app used to book pitches.
Injuries are part of amateur sport: a twisted ankle on a change of direction, a collision in a challenge, cramp in the second half. The hard part is not knowing injuries can happen, but that when one does, nobody on the pitch knows where the nearest clinic is or which number to call.
Few sports apps touch medical care. Sol26 SportTech adds a Medical and SOS module, because injuries happen mid-game, when nobody has time to search.
A map of 870 medical facilities
The app has a map of hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centres in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, 870 in total. Players open the map and see the facilities around the venue they are at, on the same map layer as pitches and sports shops.
Every facility has a phone number that can be called straight from the app. People on the pitch do not have to search online or ask each other while the injured player waits.
First aid guides and a 115 button
The module includes first aid guides so people on the spot can give initial care while help is on the way. For serious cases, a 115 call button sits inside the app.
The guides do not replace medical staff. Their purpose is to shorten the first confused minutes, when everyone stands around the injured player without knowing what to do.
Recovery after injury
The map includes rehabilitation centres. After an injury, players can find a place for recovery near home or near their usual venue, in the same app they use to book.
On-site ambulances for tournaments
For amateur tournaments, organisers can book an on-site ambulance from the match, together with coaches, referees or video crews. Providers have profiles on the platform with service area and hourly rate, so organisers do not have to rely on word of mouth.
One app for the whole game
Medical and SOS is one of four modules in the player app, alongside booking, match making and the shop. From finding a pitch to dealing with an injury, players use one account and one app.
